Southern England - King Alfreds Tower

Not far down the road from Stourhead Estate was King Alfred's Tower which was erected in 879 AD to ward off Danish Invaders. It was an awesome sight that can be seen from all around the district. The insert shows King Alfred's statue that is on the side of the tower. The next Album takes us south to Salisbury then along the southern coast of England to Dover and the ferry to Calais, France.
